About the role: The jobholder will be responsible for developing and coordinating active and sustainable social networks for people with learning disability, mental health, and their families alongside residents to reduce loneliness and social isolation. Supporting them to lead purposeful and connected lives

About Us: Harrow Mencap is a campaigning organisation and a multi-project service provider supporting adults, young people and children with learning disabilities - and their families and carers - to ensure their needs, rights and aspirations are met.

Your Role

• Implement and establish the Home Online Activities Network Project • Coordinate and deliver daily online activity sessions for individuals with learning disabilities and their families • Plan and promote a mix of workshops, social activities and educational/information giving sessions • Prepare “Weekly Resource Packs” which will accompany and support the daily activities and oversee the distribution to the families • Oversee and monitor the use of Harrow Mencap tablets to enable vulnerable families to access online support • Liaise with the Volunteering team to engage with volunteers to support the delivery of activity sessions • Monitor progress and impact using our Harrow Mencap Group Rating Scale and monthly online easy read evaluations • Produce reporting and information

About You

This post is ideal for those with skills and experience mix from social care background and relevant knowledge in the use of multimedia technology to facilitate learning on variety of topics and engagement. You will need to be innovative and demonstrate friendly personality. The role requires both working remotely with technology and having face-to-face interactions with the clients.
